Painting based on your photo
How does a painting based on my photo work?
You briefly tell us what we should paint using our request form and send us your photo by email. We review everything and send you a fixed quote. As soon as you have approved and paid, our artists will begin painting.
How much does a painting based on my photo cost?
Petit from 35 × 50 cm from €249, Classique from 55 × 75 cm from €299, Grand from 70 × 100 cm from €399, Noblesse from 90 × 120 cm from €559. Larger sizes are available upon request.
The prices apply to designs with a simple level of detail; more detailed designs will cost more. You will always receive a fixed quote in advance.
Which photo is suitable?
Ideally, a sharp, well-lit photo in the highest possible resolution, where your subject is clearly visible. If you're unsure, just send us several photos to choose from. We're happy to advise you.
How long does it take?
It usually takes 3 to 5 weeks for painting, plus shipping. We will provide the specific delivery date in your quote. For Christmas, the order deadline is November 15.
How do I pay for a painting based on a photo?
After you confirm, we will send you an invoice with a payment link. You can conveniently pay the full amount online, and then we’ll start painting.
Can I return a painting if it doesn't match the photo?
Since each painting is custom-made to your specifications, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for commissioned works. That is why you will receive a fixed quote in advance before painting begins. Your statutory warranty rights, of course, remain unaffected.
Ordering and Shipping
Is that really hand-painted?
Yes. Each painting is hand-painted with oil paint on canvas. Up close, you can see the texture of the brushstrokes. A print looks different.
How does my painting get to me?
Before a painting is shipped to you, we inspect it here in Germany, stretch it over the stretcher frame, and pack it securely with edge protectors and bubble wrap. We ship via DHL or Hermes, and you will receive tracking information by email.
How much is shipping?
We ship paintings free of charge within Germany, including paintings based on your photo. For historical stock certificates, we charge €5.90 per order. We currently only deliver within Germany.
How quickly do immediately available paintings and shares arrive?
Usually within 3 to 5 business days.
Can I return items that are available immediately?
Yes. For paintings from our inventory and historical shares, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. You can find all the details in our Cancellation Policy.
Are the historical stocks real?
Yes. These are original historical securities, not reprints. Each share is stylishly framed with a mat and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Vouchers
How does the voucher work?
You choose an amount of €50 or more, and the gift certificate is sent immediately by email. If you wish, we can send it directly to the recipient, even on a specific date of your choice. It can be redeemed at the checkout, including for paintings based on a photo. Any remaining balance will be retained.
